RIOHACHA

  • Departure from Bogotá airport bound for Riohacha.
  • Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
  • Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel, the beach, and the city — we recommend visiting the boardwalk, trying the traditional ceviche, and exploring Wayuu handicrafts.
  • Check-in and rest.

CABO DE LA VELA

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Meet in the hotel lobby to begin the desert adventure.
  • This unforgettable tour kicks off with a unique stop at the Manaure Salt Mines, where you'll witness a striking landscape and one of the region's most traditional activities. Here, you'll see how local residents harvest salt by hand, using techniques passed down through generations.
  • The journey continues to Cabo de la Vela, a place full of magic and natural beauty. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy Cabo de la Vela Beach, with its crystal-clear water and golden sand, perfect for relaxing or taking a refreshing swim.
  • From there, you'll be able to admire the impressive Pilón de Azúcar, a rock formation that rises majestically over the landscape, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
  • Traditional lunch featuring fresh fish and local seafood, to experience the best of Guajira's cuisine.
  • Overnight stay at a Wayuu ranchería, with the choice of a room or a chinchorro (hammock).

PUNTA GALLINAS

  • Start the day with a traditional breakfast at your lodging, enjoying local flavors to fuel you for the adventure ahead.
  • Begin the journey with a road trip to Punta Gallinas, the northernmost point of Colombia, famous for its desert landscapes and spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. Along the way, you'll take in breathtaking views and the region's unique scenery.
  • A not-to-be-missed stop at Jepirachi Wind Farm, one of the region's main sources of renewable energy. Here you can admire the giant wind turbines and learn about sustainable energy projects in the area.
  • Continue your adventure to the Taroa Dunes, a stunning landscape of golden dunes meeting the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy a walk along the dunes, take photos, or even take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Guajira cuisine, such as friche, shrimp or fish arepas, at a local restaurant or a Wayuu ranchería, depending on tour conditions.
  • The next stop is the Punta Gallinas Lighthouse, standing at Colombia's northernmost point. From here, you'll take in a stunning view of the sea and surroundings, capturing the essence of this unique place

  • After breakfast, we depart for Mayapo.
  • The beaches of Mayapo, located in northern La Guajira, are one of the region's best-kept secrets. This beautiful corner of the Colombian Caribbean is known for its calm, crystal-clear waters, surrounded by golden dunes and palm trees that seem to dance in the breeze.
  • Overnight stay in Riohacha and rest.
